About Design Chords –
Design Chords is an early stage startup from IIFT and McKinsey alumni. An initiative of Sketch Lounge Company, the aim is to enable firms of all sizes to outsource the creative part of their project on our platform and help them gain access to high quality art work from designers across the globe at a cost effective price. The website is scheduled to launch mid June 09.

We are looking to hire a software programmer/web developer by end of May 09. Office will be in Chandigarh and the position starts 2nd week of June. The probation period will be 8-12 weeks which depends upon the candidate’s previous experience and his performance in the first 6 weeks. Salary will be finalized during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain website(s) functionality, applications, and features
* Thought partner in website architecture, UI and product design
• Lead the technology team from front and build further capabilities within the company

• Act as the single point of contact for any outsourced IT maintenance work.

Skills:

• Demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform issues, and web standards
• Solid understanding of website architecture, database structure & design and object-oriented-design principles
• Moderate experience in graphic designing – Photoshop/Corel
• Experience working within a team environment

• Previous experience in server management and C#.net is a big plus but not mandatory

A Prerequisite:
The hired person will form the first set of employees of the startup

• Extremely self driven – not only able to work independently but also provide training to new hires.

• Very Entrepreneurial in his outlook.

Qualifications:

• B.E/B. Tech preferably in computer science or equivalent (Prefer from top schools)

• 0 to 2 years work experience
